Breaking GB Announces Born Barikor as New Board Chair to Lead Strategic Vision Beyond Paris 2024.

Breaking GB is a dynamic and visionary non-profit organisation leading the efforts across the UK to establish breaking as a premier sporting discipline in Britain. As the official national organisation, supported by UKSport, Breaking GB is driving the development and growth of this electrifying art form, recently turned Olympic sport. Paris 2024 is the first Olympics.

Team GB have selected a squad of 178 athletes to compete in the Kraków-Małopolska 2023 European Games, which are set to take place in and around the Polish city between 21 June to 2 July 2023.

Skateboard GB and Breaking GB are seeking shared full-time project management and administrative support.  This is a new role which will be employed by Skateboard GB, but works across both organisations.

Breaking FEBD is pleased to invite the best Bboys and Bgirls from your federation to participate in the 2023 European Breaking Championship in Almeria, Spain.

Our aim is for Great Britain to have representation at Breaking’s debut in the Paris Olympic Games.  UK Sport have provided funding to support this campaign and below are further details of the roadmap towards 2024. This document and supporting Selection Policy may be amended at any point in line with Breaking GB Paris campaign and wider strategic aims.

UK Sport has awarded Breaking GB £135,000 to support the qualification prospects of British breakers in the build-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Breaking GB, under the auspices of DanceSport England (DSE), has been awarded the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) European Breaking Championships 2022.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is launching a new four-sport Olympic qualifier series for Paris 2024. This is an Olympic Agenda 2020+5 project, which was presented today to the IOC Executive Board. The new IOC-led Olympic qualifier series will include four sports – BMX freestyle, breaking, skateboarding, and sport climbing.

Breaking GB, in association with DanceSport England and Breakin’ Convention at Sadler’s Wells, will hold the first WDSF World Breaking Championship national qualifiers in London on 31st October at the Lilian Baylis Studio in Sadler’s Wells as the UK’s elite solo breakers go head-to-head at the GB TRIALS 2021.
