This weekend 28 July 2024 we host a Youth Camp in Sandler's Well's and this is all you need to know.

The Breaking GB Youth Camp forms part of Breaking GB’s objectives and strategic aims aimed at nurturing and promoting the sport of Breaking across Great Britain.

Objectives of the Breaking GB Youth Camp:

  1. Foundations: Establish a support system that retains the authenticity of Breaking, ensuring that the roots and culture of this dance form are preserved and promoted. Give the Youth the opportunity to build alongside the world class judging system use at world championships and olympic events.
  2. Inspire: The camp aims to foster a diverse and inclusive culture, making Breaking an accessible and widely embraced form of dance in Great Britain.

Sustain: There is a focus on evolving Breaking as both an art form and a sport across the nation.

Our key Strategic Goals and Benefits:

  • Talent Identification: Young breakers aged 14-18 will have the opportunity to connect with peers, learn from experienced Breakers, and showcase their skills.
  • Future Opportunities: Top performers at the camp will have the chance to represent Breaking GB at international events like the World Youth Championships in China and possibly future major competitions.
  • Funding and Support: While participants will need to fund their own travel to the World Youth Championships in China, accommodations and transport to the venue will be covered by WDSF for selected athletes.
